This institutional structure has brought many researchers together at a common point and interlinked many disciplines such as Politics, Economics, International Relations, Sociology, Religious Sciences, History, etc. through field of the Middle East. This interdisciplinary perspective offers more valid and comprehensive analysis on both regional and global scales. Furthermore, the notion is to train new researchers and maintain academic vitality through Master's and PhD programs and various activities.
As a geography right next to our country, the Middle East has not received the attention it deserves both academically and politically for many years. However, recent developments have shown that the region is of great importance for both our country and global balances. Therefore, the interest regarding the Middle East in Turkey needs support of academic studies and qualified research. For this purpose, as ORMER, we aimed to contribute to the literature within several dimensions since our establishment and to assist researchers who will work in this direction.
